Twisted Innocence is the third book in a trilogy by Christian, crime writer Terri Blackstock. You do not need to have read the previous books to be able to enjoy or follow the story in this book. I had not read the previous books until after I had read this book, and I enjoyed them greatly.
As this story opens you have Holly Cramer picking up this rather unusual couple in her taxi cab, who beat and rob her. Holly is a 20’ish young – lady who is working two jobs to make ends meet, after a bad one-night stand leads to her becoming a single mom. The father, Creed, isn’t the type of person she wants in her daughter’s life, he is a drug dealer and accused kidnapper. She soon learns he is implicated in a murder and wants him far away from her daughter Lily as possible. So she tries to keep the fact that he is a father from him, however plans don’t always go the way she plans and Lily wind up in danger.
While Holly is working she has her sister Juliet watch Lily for her. During the daytime Holly works for her other sister Cathy,a lawyer and her fiance Michael, a PI. She works as an investigator for them. Michael ends up in jail while trying to help Juliet’s children. They are all searching for drug kingpin Leonard Miller so they can get a pardon for Michael.
Twisted Innocence is a must read. You cannot read this fast enough, the characters are very well-developed and the plot plays out extremely well.
