New Products Going To be Tested In Near Future.

I have been contacted by the companies that I have done product reviews for in the past, asking me to test more products for them and post the reviews once I have completely tested the products fully. I should receive these products within the next week and start testing them over the next couple of days that follow.
The way I do my product reviews is as follows, first of all I always keep any correspondence from the company- any e-mails between the two of us. You never know if you may need them in the future for some reason for example I had one person from a company that I won’t name contact me and ask me to rate a video as “helpful or higher” on amazon.com. I in no uncertain terms, but politely explained to this person that I would NOT do this, Ever!, I only do 100% honest evaluations, and if my being a member of this panel rode on doing this evaluation then I couldn’t be a member of this panel because this wasn’t a true and honest evaluation. I got a e-mail from the president of the company the next day apologizing to me. That the former person was no longer doing product testing, that the new person knew the rules of what it took to do a proper evaluation and would never ask anyone for that type of evaluation of a product again, and if they did he wanted to know immediately. These are the types of CEOs’ and Presidents of companies we need, not ones that are looking for the dishonest way.

Once I receive an e-mail from the company asking me to do the product test, I make a note in my notebook about when they contacted me about the product, what it is and when it is shipped. When I get it I also write down the date, that way I know how long I have been testing it, exactly. Some products you only have to test for a couple of days, some longer. When you feel you have a good grasp of the product, what it is about, start writing. Think about it like you would be trying to describe it for your best friend or someone like that. Once you are able to really get a good description then write it down and see how it looks. Read it outloud to your self and see how it sounds, if it sounds good then you are ready to post it once you have checked it for typos! There is nothing worse than reading someones review and seeing bad spelling. You really wonder then if they know very much about what they are doing if they cannot be bothered to even check their spelling. The more you do the better you get.

Once you get really comfortable with doing your product reviews you can try doing video reviews, some people are more at ease with video than written. However if you submit a video review most sites have to have a written one as well. Just read other reviews and see how your views measured up to those already done by others done around the same time as yours, you don’t want to go back too far because they may have a different version of the item especially if you are dealing with electronics. I have found that sometimes my reviews have been very close to others and at other times my experience wasn’t like anyone else, so you never know.
So Product testing is enjoyable and you end up with a product to keep in the end.The company ends up with good information for their research on that product, a win-win for everyone.
